UK Market Entry & Business Expansion Seminar for Japanese Companies
Insights from the British Consulate-General Osaka and Industry Experts
- Key Considerations Japanese Companies Need to Know, from Practical Matters to Effective Market Entry Strategies -
<Details>
Since the conclusion of the UK–Japan Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement in 2020, and against the backdrop of developments such as the launch of the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP), the state visit of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan to the UK, and the convening of the UK–Japan Economic Ministerial Meeting, UK–Japan relations have deepened to an unprecedented degree over the past five years, with cooperation between the public and private sectors expanding and the bilateral economic relationship entering a new phase.
At present, the UK Government is actively promoting investment and support measures across eight priority sectors expected to drive future growth, including Digital & Technology, Clean Energy, Defence, and Financial Services. These sectors present attractive opportunities for Japanese companies both seeking new entry into the UK market and aiming to expand their existing businesses.
Against this positive backdrop, 3CS Corporate Solicitors and Intralink will jointly host a Japanese-language seminar for companies considering new entry into the UK, as well as companies already operating in the UK and seeking further growth.
On the day, we will welcome representatives from the British Embassy in Japan, who will provide an overview of the latest developments in UK–Japan relations, together with an introduction to the UK Government’s strategies and policy initiatives. This will be followed by a session delivered by Intralink, which will provide a practical explanation, from the perspective of a new business development consultancy, of the business opportunities the UK market presents for Japanese companies and the strategic approaches to capturing those opportunities. In addition, 3CS Corporate Solicitors will provide a clear and practical explanation of the legal and operational issues that Japanese companies commonly face when entering or expanding their business in the UK, illustrated with specific examples.
Following the seminar, there will be time allocated for networking, during which participants will have the opportunity to exchange views directly with the speakers and representatives of the British Embassy in Japan.
If you wish to attend, please register via the registration form by Saturday, 31 January 2026. You are welcome to share or forward this invitation to relevant colleagues or contacts within your organisation. Please note that, if the number of registrations exceeds capacity, attendance may be determined by a draw. Confirmation of attendance will be sent from Wednesday, 4 February 2026 onwards.
