Francesca Fraser is a dispute resolution and arbitration Managing Associate in 3CS's London office, specialising in international commercial and investor-state arbitration and complex commercial litigation.
Francesca has significant experience in high-value, cross-border disputes under all of the major institutional rules, including the ICC, ICSID, LCIA, SIAC and UNCITRAL, as well as litigation before the English High Court and Commercial Court, acting for clients across the energy, oil and gas, construction, mining, natural resources, telecoms and technology sectors.
Francesca’s investor-state practice spans claims arising from investments across Latin America, Africa, Asia and the Middle East, and she was part of the team acting in the Hesham Al-Warraq v. Republic of Indonesia arbitration, which set a precedent under the Investment Agreement of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, allowing foreign investors to bring claims against host states.
Drawing on her past experience as Director of Litigation in-house at an international telecommunications group, Francesca brings a practical, commercially minded approach and a first-hand understanding of the commercial and regulatory pressures that sit behind her clients' disputes.
